Pamela Vázquez Vergara was born in Puebla, México, in 1986. She received her M.Sc.(2012) and PhD (2017) degree in Biomedical Engineering and Physics from CINVESTAV- IPN, México. She has worked on interdisciplinary research projects that merged the fields of pharmacology, fluid mechanics, and electronics for technological applications. From 2019 to 2022 she worked on a project to develop diagnosis methods at the microscale.

This project was a collaboration between México, the University of Barcelona, and the private sector. She is currently working on the OPTOFET project as part of the Power Devices and Systems Group of IMB-CNM.
