Ziyin Sun was born in 2002 in Sant Boi de Llobregat (Barcelona). He obtained a BSc in Nanoscience and Nanotechnologies from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2024) and an MSc in Semiconductor Engineering and Microelectronics Design from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (2025).

During 2025, he worked as a Research Technician in the NANONEMS research group at IMB-CNM (CSIC), where he carried out the fabrication of quantum nanoelectronic devices, with a particular emphasis on the optimization of fabrication process flows and structural characterization using advanced microscopy techniques such as Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM).

Since March 2026, he has been a predoctoral fellow with the Power Devices and Systems (PDS) Group under the national project POWERCELLS. His research focuses on the development and optimization of technologies for integrating power semiconductor devices directly into Printed Circuit Board (PCB) structures, using national manufacturing processes.
